Sports Injuries- Often occurs to athletes before and after participating in sports events. Chiropractor will look for biomechanical & muscle imbalances while treating overuse of a part of the body, muscle strains, and repetitive motion injuries.
Work Injuries- On-the-job injuries are usually cared for by looking beyond the actual injury to address proper work techniques, provide advice on proper lifting procedures, and therapeutic stretching exercises. Work injuries can include: over-exertion, falling on flat surfaces, falling from a height, being hit by an object, repetitive motion, auto accidents that occur on-the-job, crush injuries, and running into objects.
Car Injuries- Automobile accidents can often have a significant effect on the body as soon as the accident occurs or even long after the event. Some of the most common injuries can range from headaches to degenerative discs in the spine. Injuries treated under this branch are all accident related and include: muscle pain, fatigue, post traumatic osteoarthritis, numbness, tingling, back pain, muscle stiffness, difficulty sleeping, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and memory loss.
Physiotherapy- Massage and manipulation of the musculo-skeletal system is used to treat fractures, muscle weakness, paralysis, pain, and stiffness in the body. Heat, ice, ultrasound, radiant heat lamps, electric heating pads, diathermy and hydrotherapy are non-invasive procedures used to treat pains and aches along with assigned at-home exercises, help avoid future physical injuries.
Physical Therapy- Physical Therapy is used primarily to restore maximal functional independence to the patient while treating sport injuries, orthopedic, neurological, muscular illness, and cardiopulmonary diseases. Physical therapy techniques can be used to help alleviate back pain, tendon or ligament problems, meniscus tear, plantar fascitis, rheumatoid arthritis, COPD, spinal stenosis, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Heat, cold, electricity and massage as well as specific exercises can be routinely done to make daily tasks and activities easier.
Pain Management- A pain management session can help pinpoint the area of pain and track the spread of pain in a patient. Pain management can require the involvement of other specialists in some cases as well as the use of X-rays, CT scan, and MRI to confirm spine-related pain in the body.
Soft Tissue Manipulation- The use of hands-on manual therapy to restore joint movement, power, and range of motion in the body while reducing muscle tension, spasms, pain to eventually improve movement during specific tasks.
Pediatric Care- Chiropractic Pediatric care is widely accepted as preventative wellness for a child as well as proper maintenance of child’s structure. Chiropractic pediatric care can help with ADHD, ear infections, coordinating problems, headaches, general wellness, autism, sleeping problems, food allergies and asthma.
Non-Invasive Techniques- Some of the common non-invasive techniques used in our procedures include light therapy, spinal decompression, traction, physiotherapy, spinal rehabilitation, basic exercise instruction to ensure problems do not reoccur. Non-invasive techniques are natural techniques which do not require the use of drugs.
